HALO on sequence driving me insane!!!!

I played with my HALO all Saturday and the only way I could get it to turn on was by hitting the button until the green light turned on. Now I am trying to turn it on again to mess around with it and can't! What do I have to do to make this thing work!?!

I am going insane!!

Don't feel like the lone ranger. We just gave one to a friend of mine and he couldn't get it to turn on after the first time either. What you need to do it press the button (try to listen for the faint click), pause (just long enougn to remove your finger from the button) and press it again. The light should turn green. Good luck.

P.S. After 20 minutes of inactivity it will turn itself off.

10 minutes. Really? That seems way to short. Is that what the instructions say (I haven't read them)? That might explain one of my buddies problems.

That is weird. Maybe some other owners will chime in with their directions and it can be figured out which is right.

or you could actually test it. However I remember hearing complaints on PBN and they said it was 20.

Mine's 20 minutes..something I really wish could be disabled. I hate trying to figure out if it's been 20 minutes since the HALO last spun before every game, and God help me, if I ever go play a big game. But it does fly when it's on, so I'll be keeping it.

Actually, if the unit is already on and you push the button once, the light will flash green. This lets you know that the the unit is powered and ready to go. I am not sure, however, if this check-if-on sequence resets the 20-minute timer.

Dont Press Button Too HARD...

Press the button, wait one second, press the button again, and the dang thing turns on. Hold the button for a couple seconds, the red light comes on and it turns off.

I pressed the button wrong, couldn't get it to do anything, so I pressed it harder with a small screw driver. I ended up having to pull the thing apart to figure it out and get it working again. Moral of the story: Pressing harder doesn't help this time. :) There is a small nipple on the end of the rubber button. This nipple presses against the on/off switch on the pc board for the Halo. When I pressed it too hard, I moved the nipple over to the side so it could no longer hit the on/off.
