its been a while sence i did anything with tuning my mag, what are the diffrent spacer sizes for? and the springs, i sort of remember. But i really dont.

Well, understanding how the L10 works should explain everything. By the way, they're called "carriers," not "spacers", or it gets confusing because the L7 uses things called "spacers."

Not necessarily. I had mine tuned to be very light on the ball like that, but it wouldn't push the ball past the detent.
