Will a RT on/off work in a Classic Valve

I pulled the RT on/off out of my xvalve and would like to know if the it would work in my classic.

yes, it should. While you won't get any reactivity out of it, you will notice a decreased trigger pull

Just look at the two on/off pins. The trigger pressure is the operating pressure (~450psi) divided by the area of the on/off stem. The AM/MM on/off is fatter, so there is more pressure on it.

And technically you do get RT from an RT on/off in a classic valve. I'm sure it would never be strong enough to do anything, but it exists.
