EMAGS, RT Pro X & ULT

i was talking to someone from my local field who went to tunaball and mentioned something about someone using a ULT on an emag. can anyone shed some light on how to achieve this?

I would guess just put enough shims in there so it has strong return. Aim for about as strong as the stock E-mag on/off.

      Of course it works-its AGD

Shims have no effect on the strength of the force pushing the on-off pin back. They only affect the timing between the closing of the chamber and the releasing of the bolt.

The ULT makes it such that the return force on the top of the ULT pin is too small to effectively push the emag sear assembly (solenoid plunger included) back into position to reset the sear and plunger for the next shot.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

so in theory its still impossible? or are there people who can mod the ULT to work with emags? maybe crank the input pressure for reactivity to be high enough to push back?

Uh, yeah athomas is right. . . I guess I was thinking of RT, which doesn't necessarily mean return force.

But I think if you time your on/off well and have a high input, it might work.

A higher input pressure will help. You would also have to time it just right and make sure everything is perfectly aligned. Even then it might have issues.
