    Semi-auto Pump Mag...

My pump mag is still acting as a semi auto.

I have a green bumper after the valve, and then a wave spring. Is there anything I am missing? Or to I simply have too strong of a mainspring? It makes me wonder if I am missing something because it was working in a minimag body, before I changed it over to a tac body, but now it wont work as a pump, not even when I change it back over to the minimag.

This is how I fixed all my semi and leaking issues with my pump-mags.

    1. Change or re-bend the wave spring. It may be wearing out. I actually just broke one on Sunday.

    2. Assemble your power tube by putting in the .220 brass spacer FIRST... then the 010 o-ring. (This is the incorrect assembly procedure for a semi-mag.) This gives a little more resistance at the end of the cycle and allows the wave spring to stop the sear from resetting the bolt as easily. Manufactured bolt-stick.

Use a new 010 power-tube o-ring if you experience leaking.

    3. If the above doesn't work... trim your main spring a little bit at a time to lessen the bolt return thrust.

Can you purchase just the spacers and what not, or even the wave spring? I have none.

Stretch or replace your wave spring and that should cure your problem. I always remove the bolt, bolt spring, and wave spring when storing my mags. It helps reduce the fatigue of the springs and makes them last longer....
