    RT vs. standard valve

I took apart my minimag valve this weekend and it looked closer to the blown-up diagram of the RT than to the standard mag valve. Does anyone know the exact differences between the RT valve and the minimag valve? i know the RT has the fastest recycling, how exactly does it do this? thanks.

I believe it might have to do with the on/off valve assembly and bolt. Not sure.

It has to do with the whole regulator design. The chamber gets filled first before the valve even begins to regulate air. Its hard to explain. The air pathway is completely diffrent than that of the classic valve.

How the RT valve recharges faster than the A.I.R. Valve, is the RT Fills the chamber at full line pressure, THEN regulates it down, so in other words, say your running 800 PSI line pressure into the valve, it will fill the chamber at 800 PSI, then regulate it down to 400 PSI once the chamber is full, which is why it can rechage so fast, and which is why it has the reactive trigger. The A.I.R. Valve, takes the like pressure, regulates it down, then fills the air chamber, producing less pressure, to fill the chamber, which means it takes longer for the chamber to recharge and no reactive trigger. I hope this made -some- sence :)
