    ULT question?

i just got my ult today and installed it (which took me a while cause i had to keep adding shims, and they on off is a **** to take out) anways i now i have the maximun shims in which i think is 6 and the gun works fine but sometimes when i short stroke it it gets stuck and i have to press the trigger again to fire , and it does short stroke alot , i know this is probably me but does the ULT have to be broken in a little bit b4 it gets the full effect..

I just got my ULT recently and the same thing happened to me. Try adding shims to your Level 10 so it doesn't stick. I still haven't tried out mine again because I have no air, but it's worth a try. Just don't put so many in that you get a shim leak.

well i kept adding shims because at 4 shims the gun stopped firing at a acouple shots , and at 6 shims the gun works fine , how can i tell if its working right and is a shim leak bad?? or do i just remove more shims

Do you mean shims in the Level 10 or the ULT?

A shim leak in the Level 10 is not bad, just de-gas it and take out a shim. It won't harm anything.

Check out the Level 10 guide for more info on the Level 10:

In the ULT, if you have 6 shims in there and it fires fine but you sometimes shortstroke, add shims to the Level 10 so your bolt doesn't stick.

I'm not an expert on the ULT btw, I just got mine recently, still haven't gotten mine to work perfectly (no air).

          ??????

          Start with the L10 first.

Use the loosest carrier that doesn't leak.

The L10 anti-chop is tuned by starting at 2 shims and placing a squigee 1/4" away from the front of the bolt. Pull the trigger and it should reset. Add a shim at a time until it doesn't rest. If the bolt stick remove 1 shim at a time until it resets reliably....

The ULT is tuned by adding shims until it goes full auto, then remove the last shim.
