    New Mag coming in.

Hello just ordered a Tac-one with a Y grip. I have a bad hand and the grip just feels better. Any way I have a Classic 68 and I'm moving to a X.valved, level 10, double trigger and what I'm wondering is can the gun be made to shoot almost as fast as an electro? I have not seen one and I'm hoping it is possible. This is my first high end Auto Mag and I do not know what it's capable of. I own many guns and the Tac-one is a must have for me so any help or advice to an old Cocker guy would be great. Thanks Feyd.....

If you put an adjustable output tank on it, and set the pressure around 1000 psi, then you will keep up with, or outshoot the electros

I would not worry with Pneu'ing it until you get a better understanding out how mags work.

With the right setup and all you can get a stock x valve to rt pretty damn well on just a standard trigger.

There are those here who have far more experience doing it than I so I'll let them take the reins on how it's done, but a properly set up mag can cruise along just fine when you get it sweetspotted correctly.

One tip.... When you get it setup and squared away.... DON"T TOUCH IT!!!! Don't swap valves out, don't adjust the sear, don't change the rail or the body.... just leave it well enough alone.

That is one thing I've learned the hard way.

Thanks for the tips! It's due in by the end of the week. And I did a complete rebuild on the Classic 68 I have for sale on here so I'm learning. That gun came out great but as far as the trigger goes it's pretty slow. But keep the ideas coming and thanks! Feyd...

I also want to add, That I need a way to kick out the front grip to match angle of the Y trigger frame. So if you read this and you have the part or the know how let me know. Thanx a ton Feyd...........

as been mentioned, set up right you will keep up and or outshoot the electro's... depending of course then again you may have to take all that sickness away or at least attempt to take it back a notch. I found out in june that my wicked fast mag is has been placed on the prohibited list its too fast and too much.

I had things pressured up for the rt effect, worked slick. now due to new PSP rulings the RT is considered to be illegal or a ruels violation, so its going to depend on the fields of play.

as for the kick.. there are several custom works peoples around here to help with that kick your wanting. Luke over at lukescustoms is one that comes to mind. He may have just what your looking for.

Well he doesnt need a custom rail, I think he needs a foregrip extender like one of these...

15 degree ones are probably the best match to a y-grip (which is a reversed 1911 .45 colt automatic grip).

I would highly suggest an "extender" as well as an angled foregrip. The Y-grip puts your hands very close together and I found that a normal foregrip to be a little too close. My fingers on my hand on the foregrip were protruding into the trigger guard area without one.

Lastly, the best way to make a mechanical automag as fast as an electro marker is a "pnuemag" modification.

No-one sells these grips at the moment. You would have to do it yourself.

Thats the angle but I want to keep it in tight. I'm adding the T2W air through stock from Spec Ops. And I already E-mailed Lukes Customs but he said he didn't make one but gave me another lead. That lead was also a no go but he sugested a person by the name Rouge on here that I have not found yet. As far as the other info thanks and keep it coming! Feyd......

OK the gun came in yesterday and I don't think I'll ever use my other guns again! Well maybe my Phantom. Quick question, what kind of barrel is that? I thought it was going to be a J&J but now I'm not so sure. The Y grip is perfect and came through in dust black. Another question, the feed neck is not good I read some where its Angel threaded. Could someone tell me what it is because I will upgrade to a clamping feedneck. It was a bit pricey for a mech but I think this is going to be a very cool gun.

The feedneck is Angel threaded, so any angel threaded clamping feedneck should work.

just so yea know - Almost 90% of the problems accosiated with a 68 automag are also true of all the automags.

this post has videos from you tube that deal with the known and common problems or a 68 automag.
like I said the trouble shooting guide starts at video 6 at about 8:00 minutes. and continues to video 9.

                              there is alot of information.
                              bolt stick
                              leaks
                              mis-fires
                              won fires
                              will kinda fires
                              power tube leaks
                              velocity
Freezing problems can all be found in the videos.

( dont use C02 on your Tac one, as im sure you know )
