    Fps +/-

I have just changed all of the o-rings on a Level 7 Automag 68 and my FPS were 277-297 thru about 400 balls. I was wondering what is normal? I am running HPA and I bought this gun back in 95'ish. Also amazing that I can leave this thing in the closet (well oiled before put away) for 12 years, break it out, change the o-rings and it is back up and running. Got to love Mags

When you change the orings it will take a little while for them to break in and your fps to even out. Keep oiling very liberally. Also, when you are wanting to check how consistent your marker is make sure you are using good paint, otherwhise it is kind of a lost cause.

On a side note, you probably did not need to change the orings after pulling it out of the closet, most times you can just oil and go.

Did you clean out the inside of the reg where the piston runs? Old oil can make that sticky and rough. Other than that, the more common causes are poor paint dimensional consistency and old reg seats (hotter shots for longer time between shots).

Yeah the o-rings were crumbling when I was poking at them Also I took the whole marker apart and gave it a full cleaning. Was probably just a combo of break in/not so great paint. Thanks for the answers guys.

Don't over oil. The orings just have to be wet to keep them moving easily and to keep them from sticking. Excess oil will be blown out through the valve and into the barrel of the gun causing erratic veloctiy (due to wet, oil covered balls in the barrel) and inaccurate shooting.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
