    QD on an ASA?

now... this may look like a simple question from the title but it indeed might be a truly challenging one. Seeing as i am on a quest to know everything about everything i figured i would throw my little plan out there

if i were to take a QD and attach it to my ASA and then attach the other half of the fitting to the end of a remote hose (so that both ends of the remote were QD instead of 1 being QD and 1 being for the tank), could i then take a constant air'd tac8 and use the ASA to power both my Emag and the pistol?

The reason i ask this is because i feel that its feasible only because the tac8 would not have pressure being used, and the ASA would divert all pressure into the mag instead.

Please correct me if i am wrong and i will not try this at all.

I will try to explain it a bit better in a second post immediately following this one

    ok...

the tac 8 constant air setup uses a male QD to connect a remote, if i were to make a double sided female QD and then put a male QD opposite my macrofitting on my ASA could i essentially run 2 markers off 1 ASA and air source?

I would obviously only be firing 1 at a time and the way that the ASA feeds is that it splits the air to the right and left ports, so this could be managable i would imagine.

    Anyone forseeing any problems?

i would imagine that the airflow might not be correct for the emag but i could be wrong, and at the same time i wonder if the constant changing in pressure would mess with the tac8 or if it would be ok.

I have also thought about using an ASA and doing the same thing, but with two QD's on it (one on each side) to run dual pistols without having to change out the air all the time and just reload them (wouldnt use tac8's for this but something like an ariakon with removable feed mags only)

It should work if you are only firing one at a time. The pressure would fluctuate just as much as normal, consistency wouldnt be a problem.

However, the emag is an air hog as it is. Once the tank gets down to 1000 psi the emag will not fire. This remaining pressure could be used on the tac8.

Seems like a nice plan, a little much to carry but it should be good.

wouldn't it be less complicated to just use 2 remote line and a 3 way?

like that one above, and 2 remote, one for the tac and the other for the mag?

it would def. be easier to use 2 remotes and a 3way... except i do not want to run my emag with a remote. I put tank on gun and need a way to run the tac8 from the same ASA so i dont need to take the tank off and put the remote on it.

I talked to some guys at the UMS and they just basically laughed and said "haha silly human, we have been doing that for ages" basically pointing out that everyone with a tac8 over there does the same thing as me.

So now that i have EVEN MORE knowledge than before, im truly working up to my name

Yeah, should work. What's the purpose, though? Sounds like you want the Tac8 as a backup for when air gets too low for your Emag or you're reloading and need to stop that guy from bunkering you. Now, I haven't used a Tac8, but it's my impression that they hold CO2 pretty well. Why not just load a 12g into it and have a completely separate system? Seems more reliable (in case your air system goes down you won't lose both markers), and you wouldn't have the hose hanging off your sidearm.

I have seen a guy with at least three guns on remotes to a single tank. That was all I counted from behind in the chrony line, but it seemed like there were more lines than the three markers I saw. Seemed like a heavy rig for fun, but he must have liked it. One marker was a pistol in a leg holster, one was a KP type rifle in a sheath on his back, and the other was one of the RAP series in one hand (he must have had a sling). It all looked fairly worn so I guess he had played with it all before.
