I've had a retro valve mag tucked away in a gun case for the better part of 4 years now. Before that, I only used it with a stick feed and occasionally let it rip at the range, hopper and all. In preparation for AO South coming up I decided to dust it off, drop some KC in the fitting and dial it in.
Specs:
Retro valve, lvl X, ULT, ULE body, carbon frame, HPA w/ ~850psi input pressure and ~3k in tank.
Problems:
Before I put it away: leak from the hole that goes between the o-rings on the regulator valve pin assembly
After I got it out today: Very slow recharge rate, but no leak....yet.
I usually have an electronic frame on it but decided to test it with a mech frame, just in case. Glad I did or I would've replaced the battery 3 times and tested the board settings until after AO South was over.
The o-rings on most of the valve are very old, brown, and ridged. What do you guys think? Just grab an x-valve repair kit and have at?
