    Feeding a Warp Feed?

    Hi all,

I'm relatively new to these boards (although I've been lurking for a bit). After doing some searching, I've found a load of info on the warp - but I can't seem to find any topics addressing the question I have.

I'm not a 'mag owner - yet(Tuna's currently building me my first 'mag). It will be warp-fed.

What are your recommendations for hoppers to use with the warp? At Tunaball this year (I was the guy running around on with the red Viking) from what I could tell, most warp users were sporting either Revvy's or what I think were VLocities. Was this coincidence, or is there some reason that these two hoppers are preferred?

    Thanks in advance, guys!

I just use a Revvy due to the fact that it feeds fast enough for how I shoot.

vlos and revvys fit the best with the hose and your hand.

halos have a fatt butt, manga would be rediculous. a ricochect might work.

Does the force-feed of the Vlocity play nicely with the Warp?

Yes, the Vlocity is a good choice. I use either that, or my Torque. Both are better choices than the Halo for size and weight.

Yeah, I had been considering using my Torque, but to be perfectly honest, I'm starting to find the always-on motor really annoying. Last game I was at, I couldn't make out what the ref was saying between rounds over it. Not a huge issue, but I'd like to not have it on my mag.

That said, does the VLocity offer enough of a performance boost over the Revvy (when being used on a warp) to justify the price difference?

Depends. I used to use Revvy on my Warped Minimag, and that worked just great. The VLocity would have been a total waste - in fact, gravity feed probably would have done the job just fine. Of course, if you're picking a hopper for a Warped XModed 'mag or the like and find yourself regularly ripping out strings of 20 or more shots at high speed, the VLocity would probably be an improvement.

Next time I see you, let me look at that Torque. Mine made an awful dealth-like sound when it was on, and it turned out that one of the parts in the clutch dislodged and was stuck in the drive cone. Once I fixed it, it quieted down substantially.

Yeah, it'll be an x-mod'd mag, which sends me leaning towards the Vlocity.

Ah, thanks! It's not quite spin-of-doom, but it's definitely noticeable.

Nice! How did you get that angle on the Warp mount?

Its made to be adjustable like that.

Oh, here's something to keep you going until Tuna finishes your Etach.

                          top: Future Mini-tac Pump
bottom: Tuna Etac with a little B.E. flair.

That BE flair is tasty. Especially that rail.

It is, although I do not have the required 15 pieces of flair. [/Office space refference]
