    What am I looking for?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I don't know what I want and have been out of play for 10 years. I had an automag and loved it. I want one again.

But I'm really like the idea of the center feed. Also, now there is the level 10 bolt, is the advantage really worth it?

Is there a combination standard automag with center feed and a level 10 bolt?

    What are your thoughts?

    Check out AGD's site: http://www.airgundesignsusa.com/

If you want to go new, they can build you one with all the latest parts (including the lvl-X bolt)

If you want used, browse the B/S/T section for some nice deals.

    ...oh, and welcome back!

i suggest if your looking for a prebuilt marker and if you use weaver rails( for scopes/sights) and play woodsball get a x-valved, lvl 10, AGD Tacone(vert fed paintball gun) or etacone (which is emag lowers on a tacone ) or if you prefer to build your own you can make some nifty toys

Apparently, I didn't get this right. I just purchased a automag, ule, x valve, lvl 10 bolt, etc.

I thought I did good but I just found out from someone this won't run on co2, is this correct? I didn't even receive it yet, so I don't know.

I don't want to go high pressure, I don't like it. Yes it's stable bla bla but it's a pain in the rear -unless things have changed with the HP tanks over the years.

I need suggestions, can I convert this somehow to co2? Do I need to sell the gun I didn't even get yet? Help is appreciated.

You DO NOT want to use co2... HPA is the only way to go. And yes, tanks and regs have come a long way in the past few years.

I would suggest a Crossfire tank... their regs are set at 850psi output.

Trust me, you'll be happier in the long run!

I've had HP 10 years ago. You need scuba tanks, inspections, etc, plus I hate those huge ball HP tanks. I just don't want the hassle. I'm 36, have three kids, and not going to be doing a tourney anytime ever. I'm lucky in that I have an old paintball field int he back yard. I'm thinking pickup games with friends, and a few people from the church over. CO2 is simple, a tank and fill station, I have a few co2 guns laying around so if I go co2 I can have one system for all the guns.

So, what do I do with this gun now?

Well, if you have scuba supply store near you, they can fill the tanks... most paintball pro shops will fill them too. As for tank size, there are several sizes to choose from. Common small tanks are 45ci (although there are smaller ones) and large ones can go over 100ci... think of a small nerf ball up to a full size NFL football (roughly).

Also, make sure the tank is HP... NOT LP!

As for inspection, some co2 bottles also require regular hydro testing... just depends on the size of the tank and its DOT #... check here to see the guidelines: http://www.hydrotester.com/when.htm

There might be another option: I'm not 100% here, but I think I heard that people were running co2 with Classic valves... just make sure you have an anti-siphon valve on the tank and you have a good expansion chamber on the marker. Again, I'm NOT SURE if this is a safe option.

Hopefully someone more in-the-know about Classic valves will chime in. If that is the case, all you'll need to do is sell the "X" valve and put some of the funds toward a used Classic (of which there are plenty out there).

If you must use CO2, a classic valve will work for you. You can probably sell a brand new X-Valve really easy, and get a classic valve with LvlX.

Really though, most players use air these days. Fields use them on their rental guns for the most part. I for one won't put CO2 into any of my guns. (except the stock class ones, but that's different) I REALLY advise going with an HPA tank. A hydro test every 5 years or so isn't a bad thing (CO2 tanks have to be tested, too), fill stations are actually easier to use (Just attach and fill, no need for any chilling, scales and all that) and like everyone else has said, it's much more consistent, and less likely to freeze o-rings in your gun.

I used CO2 in my classic I bought in '96 (that I still use today) for about 5 years. I only played occasionally, and HP was so expensive back then, I didn't even think about it. When the tanks and regs got cheaper I picked one up and haven't gone back since. Correction, I used CO2 when my HP tank regulator started leaking and didn't have time to rebuild it before the game. My classic valve froze up so much that day it was like I was shooting a pump gun because I could only take one or two shots at a time. AGD says that X and RT valves HAVE to use HP, but let's face it, even the classics want that nice compressed air. :) HP is VERY easy now a days, and even if you do go with a classic valve, I would still suggest going HP. Good luck.

Oh, and using a remote line between the marker and the tank will help too...

I can't believe what I'm hearing.... It has been 10 years... but are you guys all tourney players?

CO2 has more energy per space. A 20 oz tank will last me all day while HP will have to be filled. The only way I would even consider HP is if there was a reasonably priced compressor but as far as buying scuba tanks, no way, not into it. There are no fields around here and the closest scuba store is an hour away.

My team mainly plays scenario events, but I dabble in speedball every once in a while.
