    Spray painting rubber... Help plz.

I am trying to make a rubber grip on the battery pack for my emag, but when I try to spray paint it to the color of my choice, the paint just rubs off fairly easily. Is there any kind of paint sealing chemical thingy I can use to stop this?

I can't use dye because the grip I have is a solid ugly red color and I don't have the nice shiny metalic color dye.

There is an additive that they put in auto paint for rubber bumpers so the paint doesn't crack when it flexes. This sounds like it would work. I don't know what it is but a auto paint place would know. I hope this helps good luck.

maybe you dont need to paint the rubber, I've heard that a bike handle grip fits pretty good on the battery pack, try going to a bike pro-shop and see if you can custom order a grip and color you want........

Well.... as markhauguel said you can try to use some automotive pait with some flex additive, it might help if you try to put primer on the rubber first. Another option you can try is to use some latex based paint it might stick to the grip better. I dunno, just some suggestions. Good Luck.
