    valve differences??

Do the retro valves (rt, rt ptro valves), differ in any way from the emag valve?, i heard somewhere that the emag on/off is different--somehow resulting in faster trigger bouncing...

What do you all know about this????????????

The E-mag valves actually came stock with a shorter pin in the on/off, which does result in more bounciness I've heard. But that's just the on/off pin. If you buy an e-mag valve now, it might come with a different on/off pin, so you just have to ask the seller, or measure it yourself with some calipers.

The purpose of the shorter pin is to reduce the amount of resistance the solenoid needs to fire the gun. The shorter pin means the sear can move a greater distance (and thus come closer to releasing the bolt) before it contacts the pin. It also improves recharge time because the pin (which closes off the air chamber) can be fully open for longer periods of time.

Does it really matter? It depends on your gun and your individual valve. My ReTro valve doesn't have one, and doesn't need one to work just fine with the E-Mag. My X-Valve, on the other hand, needs it or the gun won't shoot. Installing the pin will also help as your battery gets low, as it requires less force to fire the gun.

Using it on a mechanical Mag, particularly with a single trigger, will result in easy bouncing.

I'm almost positive the on/off pin is in contact with the sear throughout the sear's travel. And I think it would only improve recharge time at low input pressures. I've never heard of the on/off having any effect on recharge time though.
