I just bought an RT Classic off of E-Bay and was told it has a small leak out of the back of the valve. I gassed it up to check it out and found a large leak out of the rail. After some digging I found a missing O-Ring on the frame gas through bolt, I have a rebuild kit on order but couldn't wait that long so I matched it at the hardware store. Gassed it up to find it leaking bad down the barrel, oiled everything I could find and it seemed to work. I tried to take the valve out and the rear gas through bolt seemed stuck, I took the rail off and the middle o-ring on the gas through bolt was half pushed through the rail, I switched them around so a stock o-ring was in it's place and the same thing. I have had a 68 classic, but the RT is new to me and don't really even know how it is supposed to act. Any advice would be great.

If the top O-ring on the banjo is sealing with enough clearance, you could try shimming up the banjo on the bottom. IDK with what. Maybe a grub screw in the frame? Or shim it from the top by putting something in the valve? Anyway, sounds like a rare problem. You're not over-tightening the banjo, are you? It's a spool seal, it doesn't need to be screwed in super tight to seal. -
I am tightening it as much as I can by hand, like I would have with my 68 Classic, I am working this weekend, so I'll have to mess with it probably Sunday. It was shooting fine for awhile the way I had it then the o-ring started to push through and got a small leak, hopefully it is just dried out o-rings and the new ones will solve the problem.68 Classic Mag with power feed body, lightning drop, CP black on/off ASA, groved trigger intelli frame wired to 12v revy, 12" DYE SS, 14" or 17" Stone Cold II, VA, Black Ice Reg, SS Lines, PT Exteme Side Arm, Spyder Compact w/ too much stuff to list.
