    Automag barrel with no porting.

Is there a well made, aftermarket barrel for the automag classic that has around 8 to 10 inches of unported barrel? Trying to stay 14" or less on total length as well. It seems like it's almost impossible to find a barrel that's not ported down to close to the body. I need at least 8 inches of unported barrel.

    Any help is appreciated.

The stock automag crown-point and/or RT crown point barrels are very well made, and 10", why not go for those?

Are they fairly good? I admit I don't like the way they look but that's really not an issue. What bore size are they?

Lapco still makes an Automag bigshot barrel in a 12 incher.

All the porting is in the last 2 inches of the barrel so that would work.
It's all stainless and shiny though, if that isn't your thing.

PPS barrels. Idk if they're still making them, but it's on their site.

Wow those are insanely high. 75 bucks to start with no porting and if you want the porting on the end there's a 45 dollar choice and a 65 dollar choice. Possibly a 140 dollar barrel before shipping

It's PPS's way of saying "we don't like making twistlocks!"

But seriously. It wasn't until a few months ago that they started making them, and it's really hard to find a brass twistlock, nevermind a quality smooth-bore. It's got to be the only barrel I'd pay that much for.

some stock mag barrels have no porting at all, just a sold piece of aluminum, not too bad as far as accuracy, but loud.

aren't all AGD barrels large bore? I'm not a fan of large bore.
