    Removable Power Tube

    I have an RT Classic that has a removable power tube. Anyone know the story on welded power tubes vs threaded power tubes?
    IIRC the level 5 valves where like this, but have never seen this on a level 7 or later. Being this is an RT Classic valve, I would guess it's post level 7.

      It's not creating a problem, seals just find and works great, but I have never encountered another one that was not laser welded in place. I actually like the fact it's removable.

      So anyone know what's the story on this, is this a rare thing, or just different?

        My classic RT does the same thing.

          I'm guessing the early valves where like this. I have two RT Classic valves and they are different.

          RT02XXX =Threaded Power Tube
          RT03xxx = Welded Power Tube

              I guess that blows a hole through that theroy. Hope someone can shead some light here, cause I'm as confused as ever.

              Maybe some others can check there valves for welded power tubes.
