Question about Classic Valve, LVL X & Spring Pack

So I'm wondering about my spring pack in my classic valve. I just bought a brand new one from AGD because my original was 13 years old. I've got a new level 10 installed. In order to get the gun shooting my velocity nut is pretty much ALL the way in. My question is whether I should back the nut out when the gun is put away. I'm usually playing about once a month. Will keeping the nut cranked down on the spring all the time wear it out, or is it okay to leave it in? I suppose the only drawback to letting it out after playing would be having to re-chrono completely the next time I play, not a big deal though. Thanks in advance for your help.

The spring pack is not really a wear item. Typically if you keep it greases and rust free, you should be okay. I think that keeping the nut cranked down will be fine.

Well it's about damn time you showed up!!!!

Let me know the next time you are coming up and I'll try and make it over there for a game instead of work.

Personally if you are storing it and it's easy I'd just turn it out, but I know I don't do that to mine.

Yeah, yeah...it's been what, two days? I don't when I'll be up there next. But I know I will be some time or another. I'll drop you a line before I go. Let me know if you're ever down here near SLO Town. My brother I was there with is trying right now to convince his wife to let him by an RT Micro. The PB bug has bitten him again after 6 years. It's funny because our first big hobby as teenagers was paintball. He has gone through just about every other hobby, now he's found his way back to where he needs to be.
