    Better automag feed?

In this modern era of paintball have any of the mag gurus come up with a better feed system for the old classic right or left power feed mag bodies?
I have a screw down, clear elbow on mine but I hate how high it makes the hopper stick up in the air. Is there a better solution for this now days? I really don't like the bulky warp feed stuff and the Q-loader is strange to me as well for a regular marker. Both great for certain applications but I still just want hopper on top design. Anyway to make it a lower profile. I'm going to saw the neck on my hopper off about an inch to help out there but still just can't see any other way to get this thing down closer to the gun.

You could just get a vert-feed ULE body...
That'd probably be your best bet.

If you want to avoid very feed, sanding down the hopper and the powerfeed tube would be your only option I think.

Would that negatively impact the feeding at all?

Also, are the screw tight elbows the best thing to use to keep from losing your hopper?

Try emailing Lukes Customs, I seen somewhere on his site welding a different feedneck on the steel bodies and making them slightly off center feeds. Hope this helps

The screw lock elbows have a tendency to crack over a period of time, I'd suggest using an Atomic elbow from Allan Paintball.

Depends on the hopper you're using.

For my backup marker, I use a ULE body with a warp feed neck, and then I do the Spyder stovepipe trick and put the Revvy over that and then hose clamp it down.

The other option that I've toyed with is to remove or shorten the feed neck coming out of the ULE body and attach the hopper to the gun via something like a sight rail.

              Spyder stovepipe trick? Do explain...

Well, I hear the elbows with the screws crack easy. I have an APP "soft" plastic elbow on my Trracer that I secured with steel hose-clamps. Holds my revvy on tight and has no slippage at all.

That and a little elec. tape and you can't go wrong.

What if, now hear me out... warp left body, and put the 90* powerfeed elbow pointing UP instead of down, then put a straight feedneck on the elbow and stuff a hopper on top...

It'd be offset, it'd have a long ballstack without compromizing much in terms of vertical, and the powerfeed-plug would ensure reliability...
              yes, no?

Yeah what's the stovepipe trick? I'm interested in hearing that as well.

Well, it's from all those Spyders that have a tube (stovepipe) coming out of them vertically, and Kingman expected you to buy a "straight elbow" to connect a hopper to that pipe, which was really stupid.

Instead, you take your Revvy and you put that feedneck AROUND the "stovepipe" and then hose clamp that down. Honestly, this is in my opinion how these necks should have been done (well, aside from not using feednecks at all and using a mounting rail), because you're compressing the plastic against an aluminum tube, which is much stronger than having an aluminum tube clamp down on a plastic one with nothing else inside reinforcing it.

To do this on my mag, instead of using the stock ULE feed neck, I swap it out for a warp feedneck such that the Revvy neck will fit around it.
