    First-shot low velocity

    Hey everyone.

I have Tac-1 (x-valve, level-10, ULT [not installed], HPA) which has been having an odd problem. The first shot before any string of shots will either *bloop* out the barrel or get stuck in the barrel. Consecutive shots will be normal for the string of shots, but after a 10-ish second pause, the next shot will *bloop* out again. I'm pretty sure my shims and carrier are fine, and I oil up the 'mag with a couple drops in the ASA before using it.

Has anyone had this problem? Any insight?

    Thanks.

If you have absolutely no leaks, the L10 carrier may be too tight and setting up.

I would more expect that the L10 oring is leaking down and the bottle reg or the valve reg is not picking it up. After you shoot and get the reg unstuck, it works. If you let it sit long enough it will recharge and shutoff again. If that is happening, there should be an interval that is not 'blooping' and the reg has just recharged (12-15 secs maybe).

I've had this problem. I will assume that you are trying to use the red (or silver) spring? Try switching to the gold spring.

Yeah, it could be the carrier o-ring, and if that doesn't work, I'll switch back to the gold spring.
