Double Regulators on an RT Pro

I just got an RT Pro, and the instructions say that the ideal input pressure is between 600-700 psi. This is fine and all, but I'm useing an N2 tank with an output pressure of 800 psi. Can I put another reg. in line to lower the pressure to the 600-700 psi level, or will this hurt the performance of the gun. I have an AA Vigi, that could be used w/ a VA, or I have thought about a Palmer Stab. that can mount to the side of the AGD regulator. Any thoughts on this?

if you want to lower your pressure you can use the AA reg. put a guage on your AA reg. and lower your pressure, fire your gun and make sure that your flow from the AA reg. is consistant, if not, you may need a better reg. running your rt pro at a higher pressure could mess with your recharge and loading timing, you can go a little higher, but if it sounds like it's firing too fast or your just chopping paint because your not loading fast enough then lower your pressure a little till your comfortable.

    hope this helps...

If you like the feel of the trigger at 800 PSI, I say leave it as is, your already double regulating your RTP, one with the tank reg, and two with the valve reg. I run my RT valve at 800 PSI and it works fine, I know a person that runs his at 1000 PSI I believe... the more pressure you put into your RT valve, the more reactive the trigger.

i think the Rt pro valve is designed to work at a slightly lower pressure, not possitive though

i run my rt at 800 and love it. there are 3 other rts whare i play and they run theres at 850 or 900. at a higher pressure the trigar is more reactive but you have to keep a high rate of fire fore the shot concistancy. Mine set at 800 cronoes in at 255 on the first shot but in heavy fire it is a steady 285 which is the field limit.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

I would not recommend double-regging the RT, you will get shootdown that way, as regulators restrict airflow. I run my ReTro at 850 input and it works great. The only thing you lose by going with an input of 800psi is a bit of consistancy, but you get a more reactive trigger.

Thanks for all the input. I guess I'm going to just have to play with it, and change my style a little.
