    Emag selector switch problem

So I just got my Emag not to long ago and I had to purchase a new selector switch for it (just the black switch..not the internal part) I installed it and its very loose...so much so that I had to physically hold the selector switch on Mech mode when I was playing with it on Saturday.

Is it not supposed to be like that? Even with the screw tightend it wont hold the selector switch down, it just goes in circles.

Also I cant get it to shoot in pure electronic mode, It'll do Mech and Hybrid fine (given im holding the selector switch while firing) but I cant seem to get pure electro to work. Any thoughts?

They are very cheap parts and will solve the problem.

However it will be a royal pain in the *** putting them in. Hope you're a patient guy.

            Good luck!

If you plan on taking it apart alot you might as well order multiple because when they get lost you better have a magnet available. I've lost my ballz many times.

                    hmm

nope, but its very easy. it just looks alot harder then what it really is. trust me, it may take a try or two....but very easy.

                    - take the frame off the marker.
                    - take off the selecter switch (little black lever)
                    - look down at the top of the frame.
                    - turn the fire select drum till you see the little black allen screw in it.
                    - back the screw out about 6 complete turns (so that its not patruding out either side of the selecter drum)
                    - take your "passenger" side grip off
                    - slide the selecter drum out the "passenger side

now, this will allow you to see where the spring and ball go very easily. if you look into the "driver" side hole of the selecter switch, you will see a very small tiny hole going down.

now its very easy to put those parts replaced back in. just do the following:

                    - put the fire select drum back in BUT only as till it tip starts touching the edge of that small hole. and turn it so that the "line" on the head, is going from left to right (as if in mech mode)
                    - put the spring first into that little hole.
                    - very gently put that ball on top of the spring.
                    - now press down the ball and spring a bit
                    - finish pushing the fire selecet drum back into to place and its good to go

just finish putting all the other stuff back in place. dont forget to reset that little black allen screw in the fire select drum.

                    hope that helps you out.
                    -Chris

                      Thanks man,
Ill have to order the parts on monday. One question

just finish putting all the other stuff back in place. dont forget to reset that little black allen screw in the fire select drum.

How far does the allen screw have to go in?? Right now its not protruding out either side

                        hmm

that will be something you will have to "mess with" once you have it back together. it will need to be screwed in far enough to make a nice short crisp trigger pull in E-mode. but there needs to be enough "play" in the pull that the HES will read the trigger pull. and make sure it doesnt cause problems with the mech mode then. once you got it good for all those things, its good to go.

                            All,
Much thanks for the help on the getting the selector switch fixed. I got the parts today and it works beautifully. However I still dont know if pure electro mode is working right. I switched it to Hybrid and Electro..I could definitly tell a difference...but when I have it on electro mode..it pretty much shoots full auto...it feels as if the "RT" effect is kicking in. Now normally this wouldnt bother me..but the main field I play at is Semi only.

Any thoughts on this? Any help is greatly appreciated!
