    Retro Valve questions

I have a classic mag rail and body, intellifeed with viper trigger and just dropped a retro valve into it. When I fire the gun on the first shot it fires great but then it takes a good 5 seconds or so to get a full recharge. Before that it feels like it's short stroking. Just a light puff puff sound.

Have you cleaned and lubed everything in the valve?

(co2/air) a. "Short Stroking" the trigger may cause shootdown. Be sure the trigger is allowed to travel completely forward after each shot. Next

(co2/air) b. Check for proper gap between:

    1. Trigger and rod (before fire gap) - 1/16"
    2. Trigger and frame (after fire gap) - 1/16"

Adjust trigger rod to proper gap if necessary.
You probably just need to screw the sear rod in a little.

I would start with that trigger rod as well. If it's too long, i will prevent the on-off pin to clear the oring and to let air in properly.

That makes sense actually. I'll try that tomorrow and see how it works.

Ok I screwed in the rod a bit to make it shorter and the problem completely changed. Now I can fire about 6 to 10 shots normally and then it will not recharge any more. Seems like maybe the rod is TOO short now so it's like short stroking every time till it doesn't recharge enough finally? Does that make sense?
Trial and error I guess. I'm really a noob with retro valves and I'd love to get this one working.
