upgrading a mag to an x-mag

I have a clasic mag and just got into paintball again after almost a decade away from it. Now that I am older and can afford much more stuff than I could as a teen playing this game, I decided instead of buying one of the new electric guns out there today, to stick with the mag and just upgrade it.

So far I have added a 16" all-american, and a ULE body. I just ordered today an X-Valve w/ lvl 10, and ULT trigger.

I was thinking about what I was gonna do next to it and thought about the possiblity of converting it into an x-mag. After searching on the net, I learned that AGD has no upgrade program where you can get upgraded in one step.

I also seen on airgun design's website, they still sell the parts for the X-mag, so I was wondering if I could order all the parts I need and do the upgrade to an x-mag myself?

If this is possible, I noticed that the one part that is no longer sold by AGD is the battery pack. Is there any other way to get a battery pack since AGD dont make or sell them anymore?

And if it is not possible to upgrade your mag to an x-mag just by ordering the parts from AGD, is there any other company that does x-mag upgrades?

An X-mag is pretty much a completely different gun. Maybe you mean an E-mag. Even with an E-mag, you're swapping so many parts (most likely all the parts) that it's not upgrading, it's buying a new gun.

upgrading a mag to an xmag is like updating a pinto to a corvette. None of the parts are the same.

No. The X-valve is just the all-aluminum version of the 1998 ReTro valve. An X-mag has a one-piece body and rail, or a "unibody" (confusion warning, that term usually means a one-piece body and barrel). The body is very rare.

              Enjoy that while you can!

For x and e mags you're pretty much stuck buying used and custom parts. Watch the BSTs for a while and you'll see e-mag lowers float by every now and then. If you really want an x-mag, know how much you want to pay for it and be ready when the original owner dies or can't stand to see it sit all alone any more (deserted, useless, wasting away, ).

if you wanted a emag you would have to buy emag lowers, a battery pack a battery, a board, a solenoid and probably a whole bunch of other stuff im missing. Emag lowers alone cost around 300 bucks used on this forum. If you really want a emag, you bust bet is to buy one off of this forum. Just post a "Want to Buy" add in the markers section. Emags usually go for around 500-600 bucks on this forum and you can put your ule body and x-valve on it as well. Once your done you are going to have one *****in' mag!
