    Tuning a ReTro Valve

Ok I have re-built the ReTro Valve with all new o-rings etc... I'm using a classic body and rail at the moment but have an Exile body and Shadow rail on the way. I'm using an AGD Intellifeed with a viper trigger. Level 7 bolt atm. No lvl 10.

    The details.
I have a .215 brass spacer inside the power tube. When I gas it up there are no leaks. I can only fire about once per second or second and a half or I get a chuff or basically about a half powered shot. I can shoot about 6 to 8 shots with a second space in between before I get one half powered shot.
What would be the things I need to tweak to fix this? This is the first time I've ever tried tuning a ReTro valve. I don't need any full auto bounce or anything weird but I do need to be able to fire a lot faster than once a second.

Thanks in advance for any help.

(also is there a blow up view of the ReTro Valve like the one of the classic valve somewhere?)

Anyone that can point me in the right direction to begin troubleshooting this please? I'd love to get this gun working.

the RTpro-Valve design is exactly like the x-valve design, I believe. They two valves are just made of different materials (more steel in the RTpro)

Sounds like your reg (the back half of the valve) is crapped up.
        Unload.
        De-gas.
        Disassemble.
Clean the springs and perhaps re-grease the piston (especially if the old grease is very viscous)
Check for debris around any of the sealing/moving parts (like old teflon tape).
        Put back together.
        Pray to diety of choice.
        Test.
        Post back.

        Good luck!

Is your trigger rod ajusted? There should be a 1MM gap between the trigger and rod when it's aired.

I would start with the regulator valve pin assembly.

Thanks guys. Yes I did all of those things. This valve was brand new basically when I got it. I've figured out via some help on another forum that one problem was breaking it in. After about 4 hoppers of paint it got quite a bit better. There are still some problems and minor adjustments that need to be made though but I'm getting closer. Apparently all the o-rings and stuff just really needed to be broken in.

                It gets better with age.
