Have an X-Valve that won't bounce (RT) like I expected

I have an X valve (w/LVL 10, no ULT) that is hooked up to an Air America Raptor Rex (200-1000psi) adjustable tank reg. I'd like to get it to RT, but I just can't seem to get it to do it. I know the Raptor Rex isn't the fastest recharging reg, but I'd expect it to atleast show some RT effect at 1000psi which it doesn't. Is there any way to set up an Xvalve to make it more prone to bouncing/RT without using a ULT?

The bouncing effect is different for every valve. Some x/rt valves don't even have bounce.

If it doesn't bounce with 1000psi with the rt on-off, things are not looking good.

With the powertube upright, drop four shims in and a couple drops of oil in. Re-Assemble and crank the pressure up to 850 psi and see what happens
