E mag body question

Ok chaps . i have been a mag user now for ,
oh my has it been that long since they first hit the market god that must be over 15 years now.

Any way i have allways been down the classic road fitted with intelli frame and X valve lev 10 ect.
So now im going down the E mag route.

so i got my eyes on a E mag at the right price with the right kit.
now it comes fitted with a U.L.E. body ok.

Now from what i read , i can fit a ULE body to a classic as a drop in fit right.
Now will this work in the retro sense,

I.E. can i then fit a classic body to the E mag to replace the U.L.E body.
see where im going.

I like a side feed . Dont get me wrong i could make my own body as i own my own machine shop.
< im the guy who makes the side feed ions and the mini side feed halo SP8s >

But if i can save my self work then we do so.
+ i have a few classic bodys here that have all ready been dipped in black phosfate.
< ano for stainless >

throw some light on this for me.

or how can i fit a side feed classic body to the Emag.< what would i need >

Now also next qestion.

i know the battery for a emag is 18 volts right .
anyone know the watts or the ohms.

has any one tryed 2 x pp3 batterys to produde 18 volts.
As at 80 dollers a battery there a bit much.

im guessing at this price there nicads or lithium.
any help here would be good.

yup, a classic body can be fitted onto the emag. but you will need the body screw mounting area milled on the rail. It will need to be milled a bit elongated (the shape of the mounting screw hole of the classic body).

the current milling spot for the mounting on the rail is only a circle (like the ule body mounting screw area).

Dude thats just what i wanted to hear. cool i knew this was all it would take.
but i have got so many crap answers to this question.

And lucky for me i have my own machine shop.

also i have a number of classic bodys in my work shop that have all been dipped in black posfate, < black ano for stainless > or better know as chem black. next step up from gun blue.
but in matt.

its all to do with wanting a side feed.

but yea, i did the same thing with one of my emags (used a minimag body and had to get the rail milled)





but if you could...please post up some pictures of this posfate coating on the bodies....really interested in seeing how that turned out.

Sweet yep i will do.
i have now found the mag i want and better than that its in the uk so i can pick it up.

I had a good look at it yester day and its very sweet.

As it is now its not my kind of thing , as i think its a Karter mag. it had the sexy CNC body
and there was no rail between the trigger frame and the body its self.


But the cool thing its all in black. and its got the feed that can be changed out.
you know where you pull out the hole body section.

And i have a few of these all ready . so i may just copy one but with a side feed fitted.
or even one of my side feed halo systems.

I will post up some photos soon as i get my hands on it.
as you can bet i got a few questions to ask.

i have owned mags for what seems like a life time but this is my first Emag.

as for your battery question KC sells them for ~45 usd. and like chris said you have an xmag.

have to admit though, its very odd and extreamly different for someone to switch out a Xmag body for a classic body.

if you want to get rid of that Xmag body, good way to get back some of your cost of the Xmag setup. but hit up this fellow, he is looking for one:

Dude i like have my own machine shop.
and have been making markers for good knows how many years.

when im not doing this i make heads for F1 car engines..

but if i can avoid doing extra work i allways take that path.
And now i have found out its nothing more than a tiny bit of milling.

to fit a classic or old school body to a E mag rail.
but now the E mag < which by the way i knew it was as per the begining of my post >
< i have found my emag >

it has one of the feeds that can be changed out.
so if it comes down to it i will copy this but with a 45 degree feed neck .
or a 90degree feed neck for my side feed halos

but now my camera has died . bummer ,
i will post up some piccys soon.
as i got a hole bunch of questions to ask.

by the way im the guy that makes the side feed ions
and the side feed mini SP8s with the side feeding halo.

Ie my feed port come out the side of my halo shell. but in line with the driveway.
sweet or what.

that means if you have a feed tube or your breach mounted at 90 degrees .
you can mount your hopper directly on to your marker.
no elbow no feed tube ,
feed direct to your breach,

this is what im going to do to this E mag .
it means no more hopper shots.

please dont take this the wrong way but you have me confused. your declaring it just a emag but honestly what your describing is a X-mag (since you said it was a cnc body)....other wise the only other thing it could be is a SFL or the non cnc version Euro X-mag.
