    Please Help I Can't Get The ASA Off!!

    I can't get the asa off! My gun is all apart except the assembly rail and the asa!

    I tried an allen wrench to unscrew the screw the screw at the top of the asa that holds it on to the assembly rail and it wouldn't budge what do i do to get it off?? i bought the gun used just for you infomation

      i have the same problem with mine. i baught it used as well and the guy that sold it to me forgot what he did to it. ill put it this way, i snaped my allen wrench i tryed so hard.

            All auto parts stores sell thread penetrant which works great for loosening bolts as long as they haven't been glued on. Also you might want to look into finding someone with an impact wrench and a vise.

            If you try the thread penetrant, make sure you know where it is dripping. It will ruin o-rings and seals.

              if loctite was used... ou will need to heat the screw up to loosen the loctite.....

                Virus is right. Once you have the rail and the asa off the gun its all aluminum so it can be put in the oven at around 250 for a while and the glue will either soften or get crumbly depending on what is used. Make sure you use a good allen wrench when it comes out and have something good to grab it with when its hot. good luck
