is anyone had any problems with the lvl 10 bolt wearing a lot?

its wearing a lot around the bottom end where the bolt slides over the sear...:)

LVLx bolts have a tapered lip.

I had some nibbling going on with my pneumag. I tried different on/off pin lengths (going longer to get better lockup), but in the end I think it was the blue bumper bouncing the bolt back too hard. I went to the 'clear' bumper and it seems to have stopped.

this bolt actually has flat spots from ultra wear (outer ring)

i say ive done thins within 2 yrs of play on this bolt .

Woh! That's not normal. If i had to guess, i would start by changing the sear. If you have a caliper, what is the length of your on-off pin?

That front face (first pic) is what mine was trying to do. Get a clear bumper and if you have a short pin or bunch of shims, set your on/off pin up to give you more lock-up by putting in a standard length pin or taking some shims out.

I think the blue bumper bounces the lighter bolt back faster and harder than the sear can catch it properly.

With some polishing compound (not grinding compound) you may be able smooth out the marks you have enough to tell if you are still getting new marks.

funny thing is the dam thing works grt lol.......i havent shot it since redoing the on off pin....andim reallly not wanting to mess the bolt up any more........by sanding it down .....next step was the sear

Considering the way you tune a ULT, you can't really blame the on/off pin (I tried ).

My trouble was on a classic valve when I put the Level 10 on it and kept the blue bumper. The bumper is for the bolt, not the valve.

I swear that in the picture of the reg/bolt there are two bumpers... the blue one and a clearer one on top of it...
Make sure you just use the clear one.

Other than that make sure the sear pin isn't too long or something. If the pin is touching the trigger at all when at rest it is too long. It should be about a mm or the width of a note-card from the back of the trigger...

it looks like the "second" bumper is just a reflection on the lip of the bolt. i would think it may be a rail/body problem. with the valve out of the marker does the sear clear the body, both with the trigger pulled and in the rest position?

If the sear tip barely hits the lip of the bolt, it eventually will weaken because the point of contact has a high lb/in impact force at the point of contact. An on-off pin that is too short can cause this because it is allowing the bolt to push forward before the bolt is fully up and able to engage the bolt with maximum contact area. A larger contact area spreads the impact force over a larger area for reduced wear.
