    RT rail busing adapter

    Hey guys,

I received a grip frame and it was made for an old RT style marker, thus there is a lot of room where the rear field strip screw goes so the frame moves around during play. Does anyone know where to purchase or find an adapter for an old RT style grip frame to an RT pro style rail? I was using electrical tape to fill the gap in between but I would rather have the part that's suppose to go there.

    Thanks for your help

Is there a part that is supposed to go there?

What I would suggest, if you aren't going to ever use it on a RT classic, is to JB weld or bondo the hole closed, then re-drill it for the correct size and alignment.

As long as you don't get the stuff all over you shouldn't even have to paint it because the rail and screw would cover it. That way it'll be a pinch to drill it back out for the classic RT banjo-bolt.

i think there is, because as it stands there is a fairly large gap and if I nudge the tank against my shoulder the entire frame would move off center.

i don't plan on ever using it again with a rt banjo, but will jb weld hold? i've had some issues with bondo in the past and i would like the security of a brass or aluminum piece, but i suppose i could live with jb weld if it is sturdy enough.

anyone else know if there was such an adapter?

edit-ah i just remembered my old agd single trigger frame came with such an adapter piece. i don't see it on their website tho...

Yes there is a brass bushing that goes in the thumb screw hole. On one of my markers, what I did was get a plastic spacer from the hardware store and dremel it down until it fits the hole. It works great and cheap too.

I found a plumbing compression fitting that closed the gap

              Actually, try this.

Take a piece of Macro-line and see if it will fit in the hole. Then see if the screw will fit in the macro. If it does then trim it down and shove it in.

I needed to anchor a piece of hosing to the side of my 98 and what I ended up doing was drilling a hole, putting a piece of macro in there, then when I inserted a screw it pressed tight against the wall of the hole and held the screw to which I attached a small hose clamp.

Hasn't let go to this day and I've even snagged the hose a little here or there...

Yet another option is an old level 7 carrier

Seriously? I might have reason to pick up a spacer kit... besides having one to adjust my powertube

Edit: I tried my pt spacer in my RTs benchy frame... didn't fit. It needs to be reamed just a bit but then it will fit

Call AGD,.... I bought 3 of them at once because shiping was more than the price of just 2.

i was about to pick up the phone when i decided i couldn't wait for the 3 or 4 days for it to take to get the part, not including the holiday wait and all. so i dug around and found that two 10-32 nuts and 10 minutes of drilling/dremeling yielded me the spacer i needed. I'm surprised that i shaped the two nuts in spec so the bushing fits perfectly, maybe I'm better at eyeballing then i thought .

Thanks for the help guys, hopefully this solves my rapid firing problem as well!
