Yesterday when chronoing my classic valve mag, air was hissing out of the back of the regulator at 260 feet per second. I could not get it to 290 feet per second without air hissing out the back. I know it means it's over pressurized, but why at 260 fps? Do you guys have any ideas? Also, what is the best glue to attach a foamie to a foamie bolt. Super glue didn't las five minutes into a game. Thanks you all in advance.

Did you recently upgrade to a LVL 10 bolt? If so, you need a new piston as the original pistons will vent before you can get up to ~280 fps.
If not, it is still probably your piston and you will need a new one from AGD/Tunaman.
I've heard some people like RTV for foamies, and some that scuff the back of the foamie and the bolt with emery before cleaning with Acetone (not nail polish remover {has additives and lubricants}) then using loc-tite brand superglue.
I've given up on foamies as I use a LVL 10 bolt kit.
Good luck.Comment

I hate to jinx myself, but with two level 10s and two foamie level 7s I haven't lost one yet. I changed one once, way back when I thought I had worn one out.
Before that self stick foamie could come off, AGD replaced it with a foamie-less bolt on an upgrade program.
Besides superglue, I've heard of using two part epoxy. Gorilla glue would at least stick to the foamie, idk about the bolt.
In any case, be sure and clean the bolt face with alcohol or acetone to get the oil off, then make sure you apply glue at the three corners as well as the center.Comment
