    AGD E-Mag battery explosion:

It was not a literal explosion, but the acid did leak out of the battery pack and managed to seep out of the cracks that holds the pack together. I took it apart, cleaned it and washed away a lot of color the acid literally ate.

I've stored the battery in a plastic bag in a safe location, but now what do I do? What needs to be saved from the battery and how do I properly dispose of it?

    hmm

well, just save the top of the battery (the black plastic part and the two clips for it). you will be needing that if you pick up one of KC's batteries or one of mine that will be out soon.

as for disposing of it. since your acid has pretty much drained away, just wrap it into another bag and toss it.

Radio shack is taking old batteries around here.

It irritated me when Home Depot quit accepting old drill batteries, considering how many they sell.

I would have suggested that too....but completly forgot about them doing that since there isnt any around me anymore.

other then that, the only other commn place to do that other then the special bins at the dump is at a local computer store.
