Xmag insert removal

    Xmag insert removal

    I'm getting one of my xmags reannoed and need to remove the stainless steel insert that the valve spring sits against "behind the breach". Anyone know if its pressed in and how to remove it....Thanks

    Talk to Tuna. I have heard he has a tool to do it.

            Pic of Bigevils xmag here show the insert & set screw locations
            should be the hole in front of the sear hole.

              Cougar, Thanks for the link. I should mention that this is one of the first 10 Viagra blue xmags. I guess the set screw was a revision. Hmmm Makes me think if I really want to re-anno it now,,,

                lol... i thought you just ousted yourself. Good luck with the Xmag Mob..... I suggest using Tuna for the removal. Gruntbull anodizing also removes them as well..... lol


                btw, i would keep the viagra!!

                        I would also advise against re'anno.... no matter of the valve... kick up a pick of it for all of us unfortunates!!!

                        Oh and BTW, there is a game this weekend in Davis on Saturday... Think you can make it?

                          Some of the Xmags have the set screw and some dont. They can be a royal pain. ESPECIALLY if you cant get them out.


                          The ring is loctited in and can be tough to get out without the aid of that top secret Tuna-tool.



                          Oh, and don't fubar the ring. AGD doesnt have anymore and you would have to get one made like I did.

                            Yeah I'm thinking on just getting the vert breach anno matched. As for this weekend I think I can make it. How many are you bringing?
