Hello everyone. I have been away from paintball for a couple of years, but I'd like to get back into the game. I have a minimag which I used with CO2. I am interested in buying a nitrogen tank now and I have a few questions. First, I see that these tanks either have a drop forward attached or screw right onto the gun like a CO2 bottle. I have never seen an actual player with the screw on type, are these tanks somehow inferior? Second, all of the tanks with a pre-set pressure output that I looked at (on an online paintball merchant's site) listed that output as between 850-900 psi. I have seen faq's that list the recommended pressure for a mag as 800 psi. Does this mean that these tanks will not work well with a mag?

a screw in type tank wil work just fine... and is a good way to start off with..... your valve can handle a high input pressure with out a problem so the 859-900 psi presets will be fine... usally the adjustable tanks are used with the retro valve though it is not nessacery....
as these let you adjust the reactiveness of the trigger.... my self if i had access to a RT or retro. i would of bought just a preset as i got my adjustable set at about 900-950psi... i could of saved my self about $150
anyway... for the cheaper presets ya got the pmi and crossfires... for the mid to high $$$ range look into the centerflag 420 series and the air america me`lee tanks.... the center flag can be found in 4500psi flavors the others i'm not sure on....Virus, King of the Basement Trollz has spoken

I've got a Crossfire 51 ci steel tank that I just screw into my bottomline. The tank is smaller and lighter than a fiber wrapped 48. Food for thought...
