    ULT doesn't fit

I have an RT Pro with an aluminum valve but I can't get the ULT to go in past the last oring. I took off the top of the ULT and put the bottom in the valve and it fits fine. So whats stopping it from going in all the way?
This is what my stock on/off assy looks like.

did you pull the two orings out of the valve when you removed the rt on/off , they are not used with ult.

The ULT is definitely not going to fit. As you can see in the pics its too long.

Here are some more pics of my stock one and my ULT

Well it depends on how old your RT Pro is... the older models only used one oring for the on/off, where as the newer subsequent X models used two. So are you sure it's the Aluminum model?

Ripped from the ULT sticky... bummer the pics don't work anymore.

yeah, he either didn't dig the 2nd o-ring out of the valve, or the ULT already has too many shims on it.. I seen a post once that said a ULT was shipped from AGD with 6 shims on it

There was only one o-ring on the top of the on/off.
I think its aluminum because magnets are attracted to stainless steel and there not attracted to aluminum.

The white line in the pic shows what the inside of the valve looks like. There is a step that the one o-ring fits into.

if your valve only allows for the one oring then the ult will not fit , also i dont believe magnets will stick to stainless steel alloy used in the valve of a mag

                    I didn't know that.

Do they make a bottom for the ULT that only uses the one o-ring?

no you will need a new valve or try to find someone to drill out the step portion of the valve so its flat there were some people that provided that service but im not sure if anyone still does

                        Bummer man...

But, maybe that's an excuse to buy an X-valve!

RT Pro with an alum valve is an Xvalve. your ult should fit. Is it a black valve?

The only way its going to fit is if I modify the valve.

I don't want to spend $250 on the X-valve just so I can use the ult. Could I return it to tunamart?

do you have a pic of the valve? what did you get from tunamart? the ult? you will have to ask him if accepts returns.
