    X-valve double firing

Hey all. I just picked up a nice X-valve and put a ULT in it. This is my first X-valve, by the way (Thanks BigTrucker). The ULT has I think 2 or 3 LVL X shims and 2 or 3 ULT shims (Possibly less, but their hard to count). I'm getting great walkability and amazing RTing, even with the ULT and at around 800 psi out. At least I believe it's RTing. I don't think it's runaway because I feel the trigger pushing back and I can control it quite easily. What is happening though is that if I pull the trigger all the way back and hold it for a sec it will fire, then when I release the trigger it will fire again. Do I have too many shims? Is there a problem with my sear, could it be with the LVL X (too many shims? Don't know how many are in right now). Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure your gap between the trigger rod and the trigger is good, about 0.5 mm.

Make sure your field strip screw is the right tension. With that many shims it will be sensitive.

If those are where you want them, I would pull one or two shims out and see how it shoots.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I figured it was something with the shims. I'll try to remove a couple when I get home today. Man, It's just unbelievable how fast you can go through a tank of air with a trigger so light, I think it took about 3 or 4 minutes to empty 2k psi, of course I probably could have done it in about 30 seconds or so. I love it.
