AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I dont know about the rt valve but the rental valve the level 10 doesnt fit because like the op said the hole that joins the dump chamber to the power tube is too small . From what i understand if you have access to a drill press you can drill the hole larger to accommodate the level 10
thanks for the install video, but i have had alot off lvl x bolt's. just never had one in a classic rt. i took the one out of my emag and it would not fit either. there is a hump on the end of the lvl ten and i think that is what is stoping it. the stock bolt is the same diameter all the way down and it fit thru fine. can't see any problems inside the gun.
ok i put in the white plastic washer, next the carrier, two shims, then the tip.put the bolt on then the small golden spring. put the valve in the body and the bolt stops at the washer inside the body. i even tried putting the bolt by it's self in and it will not fit thru the washer inside the body.
pictures of a rental valve and level 10:
the first picture is down the power tube showing the air passage to the dump chamber (no there are no orings or spacers installed at all)
the second picture show the level 10 installed again there are no orings or spacers installed only the level 10 power tip and the level 10 bolt notice it bottoms out and there is still a 1/8" to 3/16" gap between the bottom of the bolt and the bumper
in conclusion the level 10 wont fit the rental valve without it being modified now im not sure if older classic rts have this problem or not but i suspect its the case with jhills valve.
yes we think that the bolt is out of tolerance. some are and some are not. small hump down from the foamie is the problem. i bet that if tom kaye was still watching over the shop, this would never have happened. AGD because QUALITY always shoots straight.
Does it work without a barrel? The outer bolt diameter requires a barrel id larger than 0.685". Another issue is if the body washer gets damaged. You will have to file the hole out so that it is back to the original size. All Automag bodies should handle the level 10 bolt. The only bodies that had issues were some of the Proteam bodies which were a little tighter in the breach.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
