ok. i tryed the different spring and i still have the leaking and now my bolt will not fully cycle. i did however notice that i only have one shim in ontop of the carrier. should i buy some more shims for it? or do i need to change something else to rid of the leak?
i have tryed oiling it, changing the velocity, changing the spring, and i still have this persisting problem.
some help would be awsome.
thanks, Joe

Does the leak stop when you keep the trigger pulled?
If it's leaking down the barrel, check your carrier oring. You might need to go one carrier smaller. You must reuse the oring your already using and use the carrier one step smaller.
Let us know how it goes.

well i took out the carrier and put the 220 spacer in and the lvl 7 bolt and the gun seemed to be shooting good, not much rt but i have a preset tank so im guessing thats why im not getting much(correct me if im wrong). if the sear is not adjusted right could it be the reason im getting a leak?
iv been reading as much info as i can but seems how im still new to mags i have yet to figure this out.

When your marker is gazed, you should have a 1mm gap between the trigger and rod. In standard, that would be a bit more than 1/32".
Also, remove the valve. Try sliding the bolt on the powertube. Do you feel a little resistance. If you don't feel anything, the carrier is probably too big.
About the RT effect, it depends. Some valves have more reactivity than others. It could also be caused by your preset tank as well. I have a standard PE tank and i could pull offer a nice string with it.

Is the carrier oring you have old/new? Whats its color and condition like (look at it close up with a magnifier)?
I would suggest this simple test: Take your valve out of your gun fully assembled (and properly oiled of course). Remove just the spring but leave the bolt attached. Now slowly turn the valve so the bolt points straight down. Does it stay put or drop?
Be sure to not be standing upor over a hard surface. Best to do it over a desk with a mouse pad underneath so if the bolt falls it won't fall very far and get damaged. What you're looking for is the bolt to stay in place when you do so (but you should be able to shake it loose). This means the oring is tight enough around the bolt and should seal.
If the oring is too tight you get bolt stick but thats another issue all together. This is a simple way to check/test the carrier size... it may not be the best way to tune (which is an aquired sense/feel) but it gets you started. I would suggest getting the carriers and some new lvl10 orings. You may not need to change the ring now but it's good to have a few for later.
Goodluck!!
