    ule on a classic valve?

I was wondering if it would be possible to use a ule on off on a classic valve if one were to do the "8 hole mod"?

Also could someone explane what the major differences are in the X-valve and the classic? I know that the X is aluminum, I am wondering more about the internal differences that make the X able to use the ule and the classic not.

i can explain :) there are two different types of on/offs that i know of

there is the xvalve/rt pro on/off which uses the two small o-rings to seal the chamber and allows for the installation of the ULT and the use of the RT function.

the classic valve and all the other similar ones (minimag, micromag, classicmag, AIR valve) these all use a quad o-ring type design at the top which is much different than the RT style.

If you get the classic milled out to accept the 2 o-ring style (which i believe is possible) then you can use a ULT and the RT effect would work (someone correct me if i am wrong about the RT effect).

the main differences between the valves is really the weight, function, and abilities.

the xvalve is meant to use as a high speed, high ROF, very consistant RT capable valve that is made of very lightweight aluminum and has an internal air regulating system

the classic valves have a different design that lessens the speed capabilities through how the air is regulated and fed through the valve. The on/off has a different type of seal at the top which does not allow for the RT effect that you can get on RT pro and Xvalves. The classic valve is still highly consistant yet not nearly as fast or as capable of keeping up with high ROF's without shootdown.

any other questions or details i left out?
