    Is this worth it?

    Hello everyone,

I'm still quite new here and have forgotten all about mags and how they work and even their going rates. I'm not sure if I've posted in the wrong area of this site, if so I'm sorry. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this ebay auction is worth what it is currently going for. Sorry for the newbie question but was hoping someone could point out why or why not.

Any comments and concerns would be much appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Black Matrix

I don't know much about E-mags, but I know that I have seen the lowers alone (trigger frame and battery pack) going for around $300 here. That being said, I have also seen an e-mag on the bay going for around $250 with 4 hours to go, it will then end up selling for around $400 in the last few minutes. Buy yes, I believe it's a good deal.

I was studying that one too, but will not be bidding on it. I've never had an emag, which was my only interest.

Right now it is a good deal.

My low side guesses for parts:
      Emag valve: ~ $150
      Emag rail: ~ $40
      Emag lowers: ~ $150-200

The body would be a standby for me ($0).

The biggest problem is that I don't see a charger and holding a charge on an emag battery doesn't necessarily mean enough power to trip the sear (from what I've read). Those parts are available here in the dealers section (Chris Nearchos). I have not seen the 1.37 software; xmod is in 1.8 now and the latest emag software is 3.1 or 3.2 (my apologies to the emag owners).

It would be a good project marker, especially if you already had an emag with some of the support hardware. Be prepared for bid snipers though. A z-grip tripled in price in the last hour earlier this week. Ebay is like that in general, but expect anything that comes up on a common search to be watched well.

I would say that, as of right now, that is a pretty good deal. Hell, the price could go up to $350, and I would still consider it a good deal. But, as stated above, you will need to find a battery charger. Plan on spending between $40 and $50 for a used one. If you win this marker, air it up and see how she runs. If she doesn't seem to be running right, I would recommend sending it to the guys at modmymag.com and get a tune up.

            Thanks guys,

I'm still debating buying something built as compared to building. I've forgotten most that I used to know about the automag stuff but am hoping to get back into it since my son has gotten into it very recently. Wanted to show him the quality old school stuff.

            Thanks again

I was in the market for an Emag till two days ago when I scored one. I passed that one up for a few small reasons:

-its low price wont last once the clock runs down
-the current owner has never used it and has not even aired it up; this screams red flag. how much effort does it take to spin on a bottle and squeeze a few off. I cant believe he has not done this. more likely he has and it did not work and does not want to spend time figuring out why.
-says the guy he got it from says it needs tuning. going into it you are already being told it will need work before it can be used.
              -no charger as stated above
-1.37 software, I think this was the first release software. Xmod from what I have gathered is the software to have. of the factory software's I think this is the better one, has 3 and 6 round burst mode.
              and
-no barrel, not a big deal but something else you will need to pick up.

Under 300$ and its a good enough deal. I have found that clean ready to rock emags are priced a bit higher, 500$ and up depending on accessories.

i could be wrong im not a softwar guru but is it AGD 1.37 and regardless of the software how hard is it to flash that bad boy to xmod there are several ppl that do it for lil of nothing. also Chris Nearchos is making batteries and chargers and for that matter he and P8nt are makeing UTB boards to drop in. lastly its a mag nothing a couple new orings cant fix or possibly some oil. just my 2 cents

                plus seller is an AO'er
