AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Can anyone help me out and tell me what kind out bolt this is? Is it good? Should I use it or something else?? I got a RT today and it had this bolt in it and another one that looks like the stock one with it also
looks like an ANS bolt. As far as how quality it is, not sure. If weight is a concern, it saves .2oz, so no worries if you havent hit the gym lately. The idea of the Venturi design (the multiple holes on the bolt face) is to be "softer"on the paint, but I have read arguments on both sides saying it works and dosent work.I dont know anything more than that.
It's an ANS Phase II Venturi bolt. I have one in my RTPro. Not so sure about air effeciency and ball impact over the level 7, but I like it because the face is curved entirely and cups the ball well as opposed to the level 7 which just has a small cup for the ball.. It is supposed to destribute the air better as well.
If anything it can't be worse than a level 7, so I'd hold onto it.

Unfortunately it can... that curve allows the balls to roll back and then the ball above will drop in a little and get bounced up or chopped when you fire. There is a small round foam dot that I have seen glued to the center face of those ANS bolts to prevent this.
Hmm, I've shot the venturi on my mag for a while now and can't say I've really gotten a chop, other than when I run out of ammo and the warp stops pushing but that also happens to my level 7 RT classic and my friends E-mag.
The stock or lvlx bolts are better IMO than the ANS. I have never noticed a problem with the shape of the ANS that would cause bouce back and chops on my mag. But thinking about makes sense.
