    ULT Air Leak

I have a Tac One with x-valve and Level 10. It was perfectly tuned. I added the ULT (with two ULT shims) and now I get an air leak down the barrel. Pulling the trigger doesn't stop the leak. Does adding a ULT mean I have to re-tune the L10?

By the way, I know the ULT is good (I got it from MANN). Seriously, I know it's good because I put it into my other mag w/ x valve and ULT and it worked fine.

Did you try changing to a size smaller with the carrier oring?

I don't have a smaller one right now. I guess I can start from scratch with a new oring. But the question remains, does adding the ULT mean you have to tune the level 10? Remember, there are no leaks with the standard on/off.

pulling the trigger should seal off the air coming from the regulator part of the gun if you are still leaking that indicates an oring problem in the ult which is puzzling since you said it works in the other valve . I think i would take the ult out and check to see if you didnt pick up a piece of debris or something thus causing it not to seal

Do you have the rt on-off? If so, i would try it out to see if you have any problems. If everything is fine, your problem lies with the ULT. If the same problem persists, the problem is with the lvlX. The trick is to change one thing at a time to pin point the location of the problem.

EDIT: If pulling the trigger doesn't stop the leak, it means you have a bad seal between the top on-off oring and the pin. Did you check the condition of that oring? Maybe removing those 2 shims will raise the pin high enough to seal properly.

I'm not sure exactly why, but my problem went away. I swapped the ULT from my other mag, and now both work perfectly with ULT installed.

            Thanks for all the help.
