Alright...I have a problem with this mag. The gun will shoot in both modes, except when I have the switch in electric, it acts weird. It seems like the solenoid is not being tripped electronically. It's as if the switch is still in mech. If I have it set to 'auto', the marker will shoot once, then the trigger rod just bounces back and forth. It seems as if the trigger rod is too long. Now, here's the weird part. If I take the gun off air, and put the gun in electric mode/auto, the solenoid fires like normal, and the solenoid plunger goes up and down like normal. Any suggestions?

So right now you can shoot in Mech mode and Hybrid mode. Is that correct?
No Xmod...I'm running AGD 1.1 It shoots in all three modes, but in electric, it seems like it's not the HES tripping the sear. I have to pull the trigger hard enough for the trigger rod to trip the sear. Does that make any sense?

yeah. Your electronics are not working.Originally posted by RattNo Xmod...I'm running AGD 1.1 It shoots in all three modes, but in electric, it seems like it's not the HES tripping the sear. I have to pull the trigger hard enough for the trigger rod to trip the sear. Does that make any sense?
Try this:
Pull the valve out of the marker, and hold the sear down with your finger (the parts that hits the on/off). When you pull the trigger does it push up? If it does not then there is something causing your marker to not know that the trigger is being pulled.
is your hes installed correctly? are wires gong to and from it? I would first check to seee if your magnet is in backwards (magnet behind the trigger). Make sure that your battery has 17 volts. check the resistance on your solenoid (it should be 3 ohms).
Let us know what you find.

I bought a Micro E-mag off of ebay that "didn't work". Everything was out of adjustment from the HES magnet to the adjustment screw in the selector switch to the trigger rod length. It was also shorting out whenever the trigger was pulled.
Except for my shorting problem, it sounds a lot like yours.
Get your Micro E to someone who knows Emags so they can get it back into adjustment, or if you are mechanically inclined, try it yourself.

Well, I pulled the valve out of the marker, and held the sear down with my finger, and the trigger pushed my finger up. I unplugged the HES that was installed, and plugged in a spare HES. I held a magnet up to it, and the gun fired. In all, I swapped out the whole board, the HES, and the trigger (I used 3 different triggers). I checked the resistance thru the solenoid, and it measured 3 ohms. I also charged the battery, and used a different battery as well. I am pretty sure that the problem lies in the only part I didn't replace...the sear. If the marker is gassed up, and I shoot it in each mode, the gun fires, but it is not firing electronically. I think the trigger rod is too long. Any other opinions?

Yup, that is my guess. Just some tiny adjustments in the Selector Switch Travel Screw (for e-mode) the trigger rod, and maybe the HES magnet.Originally posted by RattI think the trigger rod is too long. Any other opinions?
Mine would only work in mech too until I thought about it and then started adjusting. It was the first emag I ever "tuned", but it was pretty logical.
I just read the manuals (although the parts about the selector switch in the manuals seemed backwards to me) for emags and micro-E's.
Here are some links:

Alright, after spending most of yesterday swapping out boards, I have reached a couple of conclusions. The problem with my marker not shooting in electro must have something to do with the selector switch adjustment. I didn't get around to adjusting it, though. Also, I have a short in the marker, and I believe that it has something to do with the HES. If I apply power to the marker without the HES hooked up, the board powers up, I can scroll through settings, etc. If I power down the marker, hook up the HES, then power up the marker, the marker does not come on. If I apply power, then hook up the HES, the board will stay powered up, until I insert the pin. When I remove the pin, the board will not power back on. Now, here is the weird part: I swapped out the HES with a spare HES, and I have the same symptoms. So, unless I have two bad HES, the problem has to be with the boards themselves, or maybe I have a bad ground in the marker. And since the marker acts weird when I put in a spare board, I have to assume that the problem is with the marker frame. Troubleshooting will continue tonight...

Well, I figured out what all my problems were. First off, early in my troubleshooting endeavor, I had screwed in my trigger magnet too far. That is why my boards wouldn't work when I plugged in the HES. Once I fixed that, I started on figuring out why the marker would shoot mechanically while the switch was in electro mode. It seems that all I had to do was make a minor adjustment to the set screw inside the selector switch. The marker now shoots like a champ, in all modes, and full auto. To all you guys that helped me out...thanks!

Well, now that I have it fixed, I am considering selling it. There are a couple of Tribals I am thinking of buying, and I would need to sell a gun to do it. I don't really use my Micromag that much (I have a Warp Left ULE Emag that I use the most). I don't know how many Nickle-plated Micromag 2000 were made, but I kind of want to keep it, mostly as a novelty item, I guess. I don't know...
