RT leak out the back and trigger stick

I just replaced all the o-rings in my classic RT and I have a leak out the back every 5th or 6th shot and then it fades away.. also the trigger wont reset after that.. Do I need different power tube spacers??

When a gun leaks out the back it is a pressure bleed off. It could mean a few things.

1 your pressure is too high. (Ie your marker is shooting above 300 fps). If you are using lvl 10 use a shorter spring, and lower the pressure it will go away.

2 check your orings on your reg piston they could be bad I doubt this as it only does it every once in a while

3 your reg piston is bad or is going bad.

If you need a piston or oring pm me.

      It's your reg piston.

Like mann said. Velocity could be set too high. If the leak persists and you have already changed oring, try greasing the piston body and oring. If the leak persists, change the piston. The rt reg piston is not serviceable, it can't be fixed so you need to change it.

EDIT: It didn't leak before you changed orings? If not, you need to grease the piston and/or lower the pressure.

I use regular plumber's grease. Make sure it's a non-petroleum based grease to prevent eating through the orings. Put a generous amount on the circumferance of the piston, and the oring of course. You don't need to grease the ends though.

Is it common for the regulator piston to leak after installing a lvl 10? The AGD website says that they carry a high pressure reg. piston. Did older mags come standard with a lower pressure reg. piston???

Older mags had a lower pressure release regs because the lvl 7 bolt didn't need as much pressure as the lvlx. Since the lvlx releases air to prevent chops, it needs a higher pressure. I had to change my reg piston when i upgraded bolts this summer, the serial # on my rt is 296. Like i said in a different post, the rt reg piston is non-serviceable and you need to buy a new one. Before buying a new one, check your oring and grease the piston with non-petroleum grease just to make sure.
