    E-Maggo Mockup... Looking for tips

so here is my newest project... its an 05 frame, i got the frame for free it was blue. I stripped it and sanded it. im waiting to polish it until im done doing all the drilling incase i gouge it again.

thought about putting eyes in it but theres really no way with the twist lock and i really dont want to give that part of it up.

i ordered the noid from airsoldier cant remember all the numbers but its the one with the nickle next to it.

i have a ram from my old pneu im assuming that should work.

now does anyone know if i have to use the ult or if i can get away without it... hate those damn things

so.... here are the first pics of it after the smooth sanding... dont know if im gonna use that vert asa but its on there for now.

anyone that can share some tips i would appreciate the free advice... also looking to pay for 05 trigger (must be black!!! dont care what type...stock, cp, whatever as long as its black)
    05 Stock board

i have an 06 board to trade too.

Well if you want a board really cheap,... check out Scenario Dreams and get an EGO board for $9.99!!!! Cant beat that!

You dont need the ULT,... but plan to use one in the event your solenoid pressure is lower. The SMC S070 series solenoid is somewhere around 75 psi max. The SMC SY113 series is around 100 psi max. Depending on your desired MAX ROF,.. that will determine the need for a ULT or not.

ULTs are not required in the EP mags,...

PS: there IS a way to do eyes on a twist lock,....one way gives you break beams,.. the other allows another kind of setup

tell me more about these twistlock eyes!!!!

the way i was looking it seems that the detents would be where the eyes need to be

saw the boards will those fit the 05 with the off set trigger

The eyes sit just behind the detents actually,.. pretty much in the center of the breach at the bottom.

The break beam eyes I was looking into involved drilling the twist lock barrel,.. which is a down side.

Another choice, was a proximity sensor in the feed neck or one installed in the rail below the center of the breach. Simular to the ACE,.. but a much larger range spectrum.

Personally, I think it can be done with the feed neck.

If you have an 05 star frame,.. yes, they will fit.

found the body on here as part of a whole gun that i bought for the parts... i fell in love!
its an ego feedneck mounted on a cutdown centerfeed. ive been looking for more centerfeeds to convert... been whoring old ccu kits for the feed necks. found the regular bodys but not many minimags.

are you sure the frame is far enough back for the sear to function?

                any other advice

its not a star frame its the regular 05 with the flat back and the offset hole behind the trigger not the centered one will those universal boards still work?

The SD Ego board will work with that frame. The UTB will also. Only difference is the UTB requires more work. The SD EGO board is a drop in.

make sure it has enough room for the sear travel.

Judging by the mockup im pretty sure that there is enough room, but after a few comments i decided id move it back a bit

do i have to worry about the board and noid getting in the way or is the concern the back of the frame stopping the sear?

                              Yeah,.. sit tight!

The WORST thing you can do is not wait. Having all your parts there BEFORE you start is going to save you alot more time/headaches than you thing.

                              Just wait it out.
