I can not get the Mini Mag / Shock Tech valve above 240

make sure you are turning the allen key at the back of the valve clockwise to increase velocity.

I do not have a camera

Yes i did turn clockwise till it bottom out

No for external reg

Do if you know shock Tech. designed it that way?

Not Designed that way,Clean and Grease your regulator piston and maybe replace the spring pack.

does this also have a thumbscrew or other aftermarket velocity adjuster ? if so you might need to use a couple of small washers as shims , some of the aftermarket velocity adjusters were cut deeper and would not allow you turn the mag up to 280fps.
