    Pump Mag Question

    OK so i just picked up a pump mag and would like to stick a body on it with a low rise. Only prob im having trouble finding one with a larger sear hole for a pump. My question to you is can i just whip out my trusty dremel and make the hole bigger or is there more to it.

    That has been done. The ramp for rod is nice to have smooth, but you can use the dremel to polish it also. About the only things that go wrong on a pump mag are the wave spring or the rod hanging up. If the rod slots are good in the rail and body, then you just have to wear out the wave spring.

    Warpedmephisto still does body milling which looks much nicer. You never see either one, so it's really about the body and what you plan to do with it. A nicely milled ULE body will always be worth something. Some people don't care so much about their stainless bodies. And stainless takes a little more patience.
