AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Sounds like you are talking about driving the pin out. It needs to be driven out from the passenger side and driven back in from the drivers side. I would not do this too many times though. Try using q-tips to clean your emag frame.
There is a mod you can do to the trigger to aid in the removal each time.
Very simple,... Im working on the details to get Luke to offer this when Im done with it.
Like Looper said,... use Q-Tips,.. works the best. You also should get some medical ones (longer wooden stick ends with one soft tip),... they are alot harder and you can get them to clean more places inside the trigger.
WTF are you guys talking about. solvent, heat, qtips, milling?
It comes out the drivers side. Do it as xmagterror said. punch and hammer. If it takes more than 10 seconds your doing it wrong. oh and take the Eclip off the noid, and pull it out first. it make it a little easier.

That's correct the punch goes on the passenger side and exits on the drivers side..

The Q-Tips were in reference to those of us that dont need to remove the entire trigger.
One can do a nice job of cleaning the trigger and such hard to reach areas with JUST Q-Tips.
I dont know what was refered to when the "solvent or heat" was mentioned.
As far as milling,... I guess that one was related to me.
If so,.. the mod Im thinking of doesnt require milling.
A drilled hole with a tap, a set screw, and a new rod. It would mean NO MORE hammering a pin with punch next to that nice anno job.
It also means that roller bearing triggers need not be purchased.
All my new frames are going to come this way. Its also backwards compatable to the original AGD pin and triggers without the mod.
yeah. I was wondering where you were going with it. Great idea. sorta like how a viking trigger works. a set screw holds the trigger pin in place
Yeah,.. exactly. I havent used a Viking,.. but Im going to assume the EGO and Viking are the same way.
Basically these new frames have a slightly larger hole with a smooth pin rather than the AGD one with little ridges on it.
The triggers Im using are AGD spec,... just using some different methods for mounting them in frames. Ive never liked taking the pins out,... I have a few E-Mags with scratches on them,.. thats why Im doing to start pushing this as a standard for my stuff.
