    Bore size, amallest possible

Im looking at stiffi barrels and they have many different bore sizes from .681 to .695. I know that I should keep it at .691 or smaller but how small a bore can I go before I start askin for trouble if im using higher quality paint. This is all for a AGD Tac one longbow if you are wondering. Im thinking a 16 or 18 inch barrel.

Why do you want to get a St!ffi? Because it is carbon fiber? I would suggest a Deadly wind barrel then, its a bit more expensive (after you buy the inserts), but well worth it because it accepts freak inserts, so it's dead on accurate.

I have used the barrels before and they have worked the best from what i have seen. on that sometimes barrels can be better than what they are made out to be. My frend has a $30 barrel for his 98 and it is one of the most accurate and consistent markers i have ever shot. It is all stock exept the barrel and he runs CO2. Ive shot it in weather ranging fom the mid 90s to the low teens and it always shots the same.

        well... 2 things...

first off is that no matter what barrel and no matter what marker you use, it is a physical impossibility for CO2 to get a consistant shot ranging through different temperatures. The CO2 would have to be highly regulated and allowed to expand to the fullest first. The barrel only controls the shot pattern from side to side, not from top to bottom... paintball accuracy is a horizontal plane while the consistancy is a vertical plane.

secondly, the barrel is slightly user preference and slightly about what the user defines as "accurate"... for me, accurate means i can hit a 5 inch target from 100 feet over and over and over again... now mind you, the target doesnt have to be right in front of me... if the target is off the the side a bit but every ball curves the same amount i still consider it accurate

so with that said, on to your question.

you can go pretty damn small and not have to worry, i personally did a test with 4 different kinds of paint to see how this very thing would work. I used marbs, dicks cheap-o paint, stinger, and diablo heat... i used bores ranging from 695 to 681 and they all shot fine, of course when i overbored it shot less accurately and the grouping was larger. But, when i found the perfect bore fit and continued to get smaller i didnt see any "barrel breaks" or chops or any differences in accuracy at all so therefore i would say get a small bore

my personal opinion is get a 685... you will not be finding any paint smaller than that unless you use the smallest paint during the winter and allow it to sit for an hour or 2 outside.
